Kate Adams established my Therapy in 2019. Kate identified early on in her career as a physiotherapist that she wanted to be able to provide a service that was person-centred, holistic and created a community environment to support physical rehabilitation, as well as social participation. Our team is driven to provide a service that is innovative and creative. We aim to understand you as an individual to ensure what we do in therapy translates to support you in your everyday life. Our priority is to work together and empower our clients to challenge themselves to reach their goals, aiming to improve independence and quality of life, focusing on treating the person, not their condition.
At My Therapy we are centred around providing a high-quality service, offering specialised equipment in our state-of-the-art gym, including a body weight support treadmill training system, functional electrical stimulation bike, MotoMed, 8m of parallel bars, Pilates Reformer, as well as lots of other great pieces of equipment! Our clinic provides us with a great environment to support physical rehabilitation, as well as an environment that encourages socialising, healthy competition and fun!

Kate has been working in the disability sector since 2014, primarily within the neurological population. During this time, Kate has had experience as a disability support worker, therapy assistant and physiotherapist, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of individual needs within the disability sector. Kate has also completed post-graduate studies, a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation (neurology), and is completing her Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy). Kate has a strong interest in this the use of technology, particularly the use of Virtual Reality, having completed a number of presentations and lectures to the allied health community. Kate has previously completed research investigating the use of Optokinetic Stimulation for visual vertigo in individuals with post-concussion syndrome, where she established a special interest in using technology for rehabilitation. Prior to working within the disability sector, Kate enjoyed working in the health and fitness industry.
Kate enjoys endurance sports, previously being involved in triathlons, however, now enjoys running the longer distances, such as marathons.
Since graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Adam has been working in neurological rehabilitation in both private clinics and the public sector at Armadale hospital. Adam understands the trust people put in their physiotherapists to provide excellent care and he honours that trust by providing empathetic client-centred intervention. Adam enjoys taking the time to listen to clients talk of their aspirations, and as a therapist there is nothing better than sharing delight with clients when they achieve their goals. Adam has begun a Men’s Group Class and it has been wonderful to see the camaradie develop between the participants. Having moved to Australia from the UK, Adam feels very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. Outside of work Adam enjoys spending time with his young family and competing in triathlons and adventure races with his wife
Alice was one of My Therapy’s first employees and has enjoyed helping a wide range of clientele achieve their goals. Since graduating in 2016, Alice has been working in the community setting, previously working predominantly with the aging population but has always had an interest in neurological physiotherapy since finishing her degree. Alice initially studied a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Neuroscience and Human Biology at the University of Western Australia. Following a year of travelling, Alice moved to Sydney for two years, where she completed her Masters of Physiotherapy with the University of Sydney.
In her spare time, Alice plays soccer for Fremantle City, which she has done since the age of 8. She also enjoys kayaking, camping, fishing and taking her dog to the beach. Alice lives a very active life and part-takes in anything that challenges her mind and body, from yoga to high-intensity training. She is a strong advocate for exercise and movement and getting involved in the local community in whichever way possible.
Bronagh graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with a Bachelors Degree of Physiotherapy. She has worked in the disability sector as a support worker and a therapy assistant during her degree, as well as working as a sailing coach. Bronagh has recently completed her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer course and runs a Functional Fitness Group Class at the My Therapy clinic. Bronagh is passionate about mental health has completed a Neuroscience course hoping to share her learnings with the My Therapy community. Bronagh spends her spare time at CrossFit, scuba diving, camping and doing any outdoor activities.
Bec has been working as a physio since 1992, having a diverse range of experiences including hospital based rehab, private practice and community based rehabilitation for people who have experienced complex neurological and chronic pain conditions. Bec’s focus is always person centered with an eye on the big picture of life, family and passions that give people joy in their daily life. She has maintained a high standard of continuing professional development focused on neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation across the life span.
Taylah has a strong passion to help others and positively impact their lives by helping them reach their goals. Taylah works closely with the physiotherapists at My Therapy to support our clients with a structured program and assist Bronagh our Functional Fitness classes every Monday.
Taylah has a strong interest in the gym and has competed in two bodybuilding competitions over the last 3 years, and is always eager to continue to improve. Taylah has also played a range of sports but her favourite is Netball and has represented our WA team.
Prior to her role as a therapy assistant, Taylah completed a Master Trainer Cert III & IV in Fitness, and is currently completing her Cert III Allied Health. Taylah has a lot of experience in the gym, teaching group classes and has excellent people skills.
Helen emigrated to Australia 17 years ago with her 5 children, seeking warmer weather and beaches! Prior to working with My Therapy Helen has had an array of roles including Operating Theatre Nurse at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the UK. She wrote and performed Commercials for radio and TV in the USA and worked in administration in the health care sector. Helen plays a vital role in the My Therapy team as mother hen and is known for her moto #ilovemyjob
Helen has 13 grandchildren from her 5 children and enjoys kayaking, snorkeling, bike riding, knitting, reading and holidays with family and friends. Her mantra is ‘Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe’.
Kadie has recently joined the My Therapy Team as the Admin Assistant. Kadie has been working for the past 4 years in the childcare sector, as she has a strong passion to provide a positive impact on people’s lives.
Kadie enjoys playing her favourite sport, Netball, and enjoys going to the Gym. In Kadie’s spare time she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her friends and family.
